Working With Us
How long does a typical project take?
Most small business websites take 3–6 weeks from kickoff to launch, depending on scope,
the number of pages, and how quickly you can provide feedback and content. Cloud infrastructure projects
are typically 1–3 weeks. We give you a precise, written timeline before a single line of code is written —
no vague estimates.
What does the process look like from start to finish?
We follow a four-step process: Discover (we learn your goals and constraints),
Design (you receive a detailed proposal with mockups, pricing, and timeline),
Build (development with regular check-ins), and Launch
(tested, reviewed deployment with monitoring in place). You're never left guessing where your project stands.
Do I need to know anything technical to work with you?
Not at all. We handle all the technical stuff and explain decisions in plain language
so you always know what's happening and why. You focus on your business; we handle the rest.
Do you offer ongoing maintenance or support?
Yes. We offer ongoing support agreements for both websites and cloud infrastructure. This covers
content updates, security reviews, performance monitoring, and priority response for any issues.
We also document everything at handoff, so if you ever want to take things somewhere else, you can.
Website Design & Development
Do you use WordPress, Squarespace, or other platforms?
No. Every website we build is custom HTML, CSS, and JavaScript — no CMS, no page builders,
no plugins to maintain or update. This produces faster, more secure, and far more reliable websites than
any template-based platform. There are no monthly platform fees, no plugin conflicts, and nothing to "break"
with an automatic update.
Will my website rank on Google?
We build SEO best practices directly into every site: semantic HTML structure, proper heading hierarchy,
meta tags, Open Graph, Schema.org structured data, fast load times, and mobile-first design. We also
set up Google Search Console and ensure your site is indexable. What you rank for ultimately depends on
your content and competition, but the technical foundation will be solid.
Can I update my own content after launch?
Since we build static HTML sites, content updates require editing the HTML files directly.
We provide documentation on how to make common updates, and most clients send us change requests
as part of their support agreement. If you need frequent content changes, we can discuss whether
a lightweight CMS integration makes sense for your use case.
AWS Cloud Architecture
Do I need an AWS account? What does hosting cost?
Yes — your infrastructure runs in your own AWS account, which means you own everything
and are never locked in to us. For a typical small business static website on S3 + CloudFront, AWS costs
are usually under $5/month — far less than most hosting plans, with far better performance
and reliability. We handle the setup; you pay AWS directly.
What is Infrastructure as Code and why does it matter?
We define all cloud resources in Terraform — meaning your entire infrastructure is
documented in code, version-controlled in Git, and can be reproduced exactly at any time. If something
goes wrong, recovery is predictable. If you need a staging environment or want to expand, it's a matter
of running a command rather than manually clicking through the AWS console.
Can you migrate an existing site or infrastructure to AWS?
Yes. Whether you're moving from a traditional web host, a platform like Wix, or an existing server
environment, we handle migrations carefully — validating the new setup is working correctly before
cutting over DNS, with zero-downtime switchovers whenever possible.
Pricing & Getting Started
How much does a website cost?
Every project is custom-scoped, so pricing depends on the number of pages, features, and complexity.
We provide a detailed, itemized quote after our initial discovery call — no commitment required.
What we can promise: no hidden fees, no scope creep, and a price that matches exactly what we agreed to build.
What information do I need to get started?
Very little upfront. We start with a conversation about your business, your goals, and who your
customers are. From there we guide you through everything else — content, imagery, domain setup,
and anything else you need. You don't need to show up with a detailed spec sheet.
Is there a free consultation?
Yes — always. Our initial discovery call is completely free with no obligation.
We'll learn about your project, answer your questions, and tell you honestly if we're the right fit.
If we are, we'll send a detailed proposal. If we're not, we'll say so and point you in the right direction.
